RDM20

Rotary DJ Mixer
CHF 2'190 excl. VAT & delivery
The RDM20 is our fully analog two channel rotary DJ mixer, with one phono and two line inputs on each channel. For your mixing pleasure we've developed two different three band isolator-banks and built them into the RDM20. One is set on the master and there's another one on each channel. While the master isolator is quite steep and raw, the character of the channel isolator is more soft and smooth. You can totally release your creativity with the combination of those two isolators and it's big fun to mess around with these knobs – believe us!
There are two balanced outputs (House XLR, Booth Jack), as well as a separate steady recording output (cinch). The linear power supply unit is built in, no extra mains adapter needed. Analog VU-meters are indicating the level of the master.

RDM40

Rotary DJ Mixer
CHF 3'490 excl. VAT & delivery
Are you looking for a four channel rotary mixer that combines the classic features of a club-mixer with an extraordinary quality approach regarding sound, build and design?
The RDM40 might be just the right choice for you!
We adopted the proven three-band isolators for each individual channel as well as the master isolator from our RDM20. To allow more complex DJ setups, both at home or in club booths, we added a whole set of new features to the RDM40: Dedicated rotary knobs for gain and send are extending the mixers channel strip. The input signals are monitored by a dynamic level indication LED that turns red when the signal is too hot.
Using only the best electronic components built into a solid metal housing, this device is made to stand the test of time – even in the rough conditions of the dusty and sweaty club environment.
For further details on the developing process of the RDM40, please have a look on our MISSION RDM40 website.

TTW10

Turntable Weight
CHF 95 excl. VAT & delivery
The TTW10 is our turntable weight which combines two needful features for every vinyl DJ:
A disc stabilizer and an adapter for 7“ records.

Our handcrafted turntable weights work either for 12“ and 7“ records.

Our turntable weights feature a smart mechanism: The 7“ adapter inside the weight is moveable- as soon as you put the weight on a 7", the adapter will fall down through the big hole of the vinyl. Your record is now centered and stabilized by the TTW10. If you place the kit on a 12“ record, the adapter will remain in the rear position and stabilizes your warped records. A sticky rubber mat on the bottom side protects your vinyl and allows you to control the record in a very direct way. The TTW10 comes in a neat printed box with a linen bag to take it out to your gigs.

Anodized aluminium body with a solid brass core.

Philosophy

The identity of Varia Instruments is defined by clear values. Quality always comes in the first place. We are a company with no compromises. The detail is as important as the big picture. This is the only way to produce goods in the highest quality grade. Another important part of our philosophy is durability. We dislike large-scale production and are opponents of a consumer society.
We are a manufacture, not a big factory. On the one hand, we are dealing with higher production costs, but on the other hand, we can produce our goods with the attention they deserve.
A mixer only leaves our workshop if every single value of its specifications is within the defined tolerance. Solid hardware and high-grade electronic components are our chosen materials. This guarantees a long lifecycle.
The third cornerstone of our philosophy is to act locally and transparent. We are building our products from scratch in our workshop in Bern, Switzerland. If you like to order our products, you will inbox us directly. We are always in close contact with our customers. This approach brings people together: it often happens that we end up in a discussion about records, artists or music we like.
When people order a mixer from us, we are inviting them to our workshop to pick up their new device. We show our customers where and how their mixer was built and answer them all their questions.
